Here at Maine Soggy Dog, our goal is to provide you with unparalleled service. From start to finish we want to create a positive experience for both you and your dog. This all starts with our amazing team of groomers, Rayven, Brooke, Arianna, Amanda, and Abigail. With the many years of grooming experience between them and their varying backgrounds, you can trust they bring a wide range of knowledge to each appointment. This allows them to skillfully work with dogs who have varying levels of anxiety, dogs of all ages, and any breed & coat style.

One of the ways we support our groomers in offering the best care for your dog, is allowing the time for each appointment to be one-on-one. The groomers are not multi-tasking dogs throughout the day, which means they tend to your dog from start to finish. This makes all the difference when it comes to easing a dog’s nerves, and producing the highest quality cut. Dog & groomer cultivate a relationship and routine, and that familiarity benefits both dog and groomer. Dogs take comfort in familiar routines, and a comfortable dog is easier to groom. Your groomer gets to know your dog’s individual coat, temperament, and your grooming preferences. The one-on-one set up also means our groomers have the time to force-dry by hand, properly fluffing, de-shedding, and combing the coat. You will see and feel the difference when you pick your pup up, and when they shed less at home! We do have a crate-dryer available, and only use when necessary for the comfort of the dog. All of these things enable the groomers to work more effectively, minimizing the time your dog spends in the shop. 

Each grooming appointment is allotted 2 hours, but your individual dog may take less or more time, depending on breed, size, condition of coat, and temperament. During your dog’s appointment, our front of house will update you of any changes and give you a call 30 minutes prior to your dog’s pick up time. This allows our groomers to give 100% of their attention to your pup. A timely pick up on your end, eliminates the anxious waiting time for your dog. Your dog knows when their groom is finished, and looks forward to reuniting with you!
